Patient Care Assistant - Cardiac Stepdown

About the role

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Patient Care Assistant to join the Cardiac Stepdown Department team.

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient care activities under nursing or medical supervision.
• Performs duties including but not limited to:
• Cleaning
• Taking vital signs
• Obtaining lab specimens
• Charting
• Escorting patients
• Assisting with activities of daily living
• Managing clerical duties
• Ordering and receiving supplies

Requirements

• Proof of required degrees, certificates, and/or certifications at the time of interview.
• Unwillingness or inability to provide said documentation will not be considered.
• Candidates must provide documentation of an 80% or higher score on the Medical Terminology exam.
• Proof of satisfactory completion of a Medical Assistant degree or Certified Nurses Aide certification.

Qualifications

Primarily involves providing direct and indirect non-professional nursing care.
