About the role

The Harborview Otolaryngology Clinic is seeking a Full-time Days Patient Care Coordinator.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Review and prioritize incoming referrals from multiple sources using their knowledge of each physician’s specialized skill set
  • Triage incoming referrals to assure the appropriate specialist will be reviewing referrals
  • Handle intake of each referral requests, ensuring complete information is received and entered into the electronic medical record system in a timely manner
  • Schedule initial patient appointments either in person or via Telemedicine based on provider and patient preference
  • Congratulations and assists with urgent insurance authorization or financial assistance
  • Manage and resolve a high volume of phone inquiries and messages
  • Review appointment follow-up requirements and expectations with patients
  • Educate them to ensure adequate understanding of the purpose of each appointment and follow-up recommendations
  • Offer financial assistance to self-pay and underinsured patients. Provide them with the necessary steps to apply for financial counseling
  • Build provider schedules
  • Serve as a primary program contact to other departments, patients, providers outside facilities
  • Other assigned duties

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty OR
  • An equivalent of education/experience

Compensation, Benefits & Position Details

Pay Range Minimum: $25.58 hourly
Pay Range Maximum: $36.62 hourly
