Patient Care Assistant II

About the role

The Patient Care Assistant II position at Burleson St. Joseph Health Center supports patients with their basic daily life activities. This includes tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding, while also assisting nursing staff with vital sign monitoring and preparing patient rooms.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care as delegated by RN staff
• Makes rounds to monitor and record vital signs
• Assists with personal hygiene and physical care needs
• Accurately measures, records, and reports intake and output
• Obtains and records daily weight
• Performs blood glucose testing using blood glucose meter

Requirements

• High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or High School GED General Studies, upon hire and Graduated from an accredited school of nursing or 1 year direct patient care experience, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days

Pay

The posted compensation range is $16.06 - $22.69 /hour.
