Patient Care Assistant II

Job Summary

You’ll help our patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with their basic daily life activities. Every day, you will directly support patients with tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding, while also assisting nursing staff with vital sign monitoring and preparing patient rooms.

Responsibilities

• Directly support patients with tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding
• Assist in providing personal hygiene and physical care needs
• Makes sure to accurately measure, record, and report intake and output
• Obtains and records daily weight
• Performs blood glucose testing using blood glucose meter
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and follow all safety protocols
• Monitor and record vital signs
• Accepts coaching well

Requirements

• Required High School diploma or GED, upon hire
• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing or 1 year direct patient care experience, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - AHA BLS, within 14 days
