About the role
The Patient Care Assistant II position at St. Joseph Health Grimes Hospital supports patients with basic daily life activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding. You will also assist nursing staff with vital sign monitoring and preparing patient rooms.Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care as delegated by RN staff
- Makes rounds to monitor and record vital signs
- Assists with personal hygiene and physical care needs
- Accurately measures, records, and reports intake and output
- Obtains and records daily weight
- Performs blood glucose testing using blood glucose meter
Requirements
- High School Graduate General Studies, or High School GED General Studies, upon hire
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing, or 1 year direct patient care experience, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Current CPR Certification
