Patient Admissions Coordinator - Per Diem, Day

About the role

The Patient Access Representative assists patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits. They complete financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts and gather necessary information while adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits.
• Complete financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts.
• Gather accurate demographic information, insurance information, and collect patient liability (if known) at the time of service for unscheduled visits.
• Greet and serve patients in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote positive encounters.
• Document all information timely and accurately while adhering to regulation and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
• 3 years experience within Patient Access or Business office setting.
• Experience with insurance eligibility systems.
• Knowledge in medical billing codes.
• 1 year knowledge of Epic Applications.

Qualifications

• Preferred qualifications include:
• Knowledge of medical terminology in job setting.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in medical billing and coding.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The base pay range is $24.00 - $31.52 per hour.

Schedule

This position is available on a per-diem basis.
