Patient Admissions Coordinator - Per Diem Day

About the role

As a Patient Admissions Coordinator, you are the welcoming voice patients hear at the start of their care journey. You combine compassion with organization, confidence with clarity—making complex healthcare processes feel simple, supportive, and human.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and families, providing clear and compassionate guidance
• Processing patient admissions, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
• Managing insurance verification and eligibility processes
• Communicating with patients and families about their care plans and next steps
• Ensuring smooth transitions between departments and providers
• Adhering to hospital policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality

Requirements

• A degree in healthcare or business administration
• National Certification of CHAA preferred
• At least 3 years of experience in Patient Access or Business Office setting
• Experience with insurance eligibility systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology and billing codes
• Experience with Epic applications

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
