About the role
This is a per diem/variable shift position at Providence Newberg Medical Center in Newberg, OR. You will play a key role in patient access, ensuring a smooth and compassionate start to each patient's care experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the welcoming voice for patients at the start of their care journey
- Simplify and explain complex healthcare processes with clarity and compassion
- Navigate fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Connect with patients from diverse backgrounds, fostering trust and comfort
- Utilize insurance eligibility systems and medical terminology effectively
- Apply knowledge of medical billing codes and Epic applications in daily tasks
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Patient Access or a Business office setting
- Experience with insurance eligibility systems
- 3+ years of experience utilizing medical terminology in a job setting
- 1+ year of knowledge in medical billing codes
- 1+ year of knowledge of Epic applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration
- National Certification of CHAA

Pay
Pay range: $20.19 - $30.26 per hour (base pay). Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
