Patient Admissions Coordinator - Full time, Night, Onsite

About the role

The Patient Admissions Coordinator is responsible for assisting patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits as well as completing financial clearance functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits.
• Complete the registration for unscheduled visits by collecting accurate demographic information, insurance information, and collecting patient liability (if known) at the time of service.
• Complete financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts.
• Greet and serve patients in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote positive encounters.
• Gather and document information while adhering to regulation and compliance requirements and guidelines.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in healthcare or business administration.
• 3 years of experience within Patient Access of Business office setting.
• Experience with insurance eligibility systems.
• Knowledge in medical billing codes.
• Knowledge of Epic Applications.

• Preferred qualifications include:

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The base pay range is $15.40 - $23.08 per hour.

Schedule

This is a Full time, Night position located at Covenant Medical Center.
