About the Role

The Patient Access Team Lead is responsible for setting an excellent example of teamwork, exceptional customer service, registration accuracy, following protocols, and training registration staff to ensure all aspects of registrations processes are followed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties of a Patient Access Representative, including timely and accurate registrations, complete benefit verifications, patient education regarding benefits, appropriate authorizations for services, and exceptional customer service
  • Conduct registration accuracy checks and controls
  • Train, coach, and motivate coworkers
  • Assist with technical and support needs
  • Complete special projects as assigned by management
  • Protect the financial health of OakBend Medical Center
  • Provide exemplary customer service to internal and external customers

Requirements

  • High school diploma and/or some college; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered
  • 1-3 years healthcare registration experience required
  • Supervisory experience required

Skills

  • Typing 35 words per minute
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle extensive phone calls
  • Ability to educate/train groups and individuals
