Patient Access Scheduling Coordinator
Job Summary
As a Patient Access Scheduling Coordinator (PASC) at the Moffitt Cancer Center, you are responsible for registering patients as they arrive for their visit and for scheduling any orders and appointments requested by the patient’s care team as patients depart within all clinics under direct supervisor. You focus on scheduling and communicating with patients for future appointments from request lists. The role requires comfort with medical terminology and the ability to handle many competing priorities and demands in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Register patients as they arrive for their visit
- Schedule any orders and appointments requested by the patient’s care team
- Gather accurate information and explain forms and policies to patients
- Communicate with patients for future appointments from request lists
- Ensure accurate appointment management and correct coordination of all administrative information between professional staff and the patient
Requirements
- Ability to meet, communicate, and interact with individuals from varying backgrounds and other health care team members in a courteous and helpful manner
- Ability to set up, organize, and maintain record systems
- Customer Service, multi-tasking, computer and typing skills, use various types of office automation equipment and software, and interpersonal communication skills both verbally and written
- Strong attention to detail while being able to multi-task and maintain patience and composure in stressful situations
- Possess strong critical thinking abilities such as problem solving, root cause analysis, and provide timely solutions
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Associate's Degree preferred
