Patient Access Representative - Resident Clinic

Position Purpose

As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for providing essential clerical support and ensuring a seamless patient registration process. This entails verifying benefits, facilitating patient discharges, collecting copays or payments, maintaining accurate account balances, and performing general data entry tasks.

Hours/Shift

Full-time/Days 8:00a - 5:00p Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent customer service completing the registration process for patients
  • Confirms patient demographic information, verification of benefits, scheduling and coordinating post discharge care for patients, collection of copays or payments, balancing of accounts, and general data entry
  • Pregpreregister, register, schedule, reschedule, and discharge patients according to the defined guidelines

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification: BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Fingerprint Clearance: AZ DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card

Experience

Minimum of one (1) year experience working in a customer service position and/or office setting

Work Requirements

  • Able to reach above and below shoulder level, lift, bend, kneel, squat, stand, walk, and sit for the full scheduled shift
  • Able to use business office equipment/computer
  • Expected duties have, but not routine, exposure to bloodborne pathogens
