Job Summary

Affords assistance in coordinating various activities such as scheduling, insurance verification, and pre-certification. Acts as a clinical liaison with physician practices and interacts with pre-visit services. Manages daily operations within the designated area.

Details of the Position

  • Assigns tasks and manages priorities.
  • Provides technical support and oversees staff schedules.
  • Maintains quality of work and ensures timely completion of projects.
  • Mentors staff and offers constructive feedback.
  • Ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Provides leadership feedback on staff performance and assists with goal setting for the team.

What You Bring

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Medical Terminology and CPT/ICD coding.
  • Knowledge of insurance processes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook (preferred).
  • Ability to manage conflict effectively and professionally.
  • Excellent time management skills, emphasizing meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Department / Location Specific Notes

PHMG Communities: Preference given to candidates with a strong background in customer service or a lead role in lieu of Patient Access Rep experience. PHMG Clinics – NW: Performs the job functions of Surgery Scheduler as part of the PAR Lead role.

Working Conditions

  • Operates computer and other office equipment.
  • Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

  • Communicates and exchanges accurate information.
  • Close visual acuity required for preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
