Responsibilities
- Primarily a scheduler for appointments within the Baptist Health System
- Answering around 75-80 patient calls a day
- Completing the registration process, insurance verification, and supplying estimates and patient collections in reference to estimates
- Working patient work queues and making outbound calls to patients
- Monthly score card to determine how long it takes to wrap up a call and the quality of a call
- Reflecting the five Baptist Core Values and having call center and scheduling experience
- Registering patients accurately and efficiently
- Utilizing multiple systems and interfaces
- Cross-trained in order to work in multiple Imaging Service Lines
- Maintaining service excellence to patients and visitors for telephonic encounters
- Contributing to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, productivity, quality, and call metric objectives, etc.)
- Possessing a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHOM
- Maintaining a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
- Articulating compliance documentation and ensuring completion of required patient consent forms
- Maintaining patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
Requirements
- A high school diploma (or higher)
Qualifications
- Call center experience
- Scheduling experience
Skills
- Strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHOM
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Proficiency in multiple systems and interfaces
