Patient Access Representative - Full Time (40 hours/week)
About the role
The Patient Access Representative is responsible for the registration of hospital admissions and outpatient services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Federal and State regulations. Works closely with hospital, clinic and revenue cycle personnel. Performs general reception duties including, answering multi-line telephone and greeting and directing patients and visitors to hospital departments.

- Collection of required patient information
- Insurance verification and participation in collection of deductibles and co-pays
- General reception duties including answering multi-line telephone and greeting and directing patients and visitors to hospital departments
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current computer experience in Microsoft products
- Previous cash-handling experience
Preferred:
- Experience in Healthcare Registration
- Knowledge of insurance verification & authorization processes
- Demonstrated knowledge of general medical terminology
Pay
Wage range currently starts at $19.62/hour and goes up to $29.74/hour. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.
Schedule
.1.0 (40 hours/week); Primary schedule is Monday through Friday; 8:30a-5:00p
