Patient Access Representative - ER

About the role

Reporting to the Admitting Supervisor, the Registration Representative must be able to work independently as well as with resources of supervision and management. This position is responsible for completing the pre-admitting, registration of outpatients, and admissions of inpatients into the facility. The position has the responsibility to provide excellent service to patients, their families, physician office staff, hospital personnel, and related outside agencies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• 3 months to 1 year in an acute care admitting environment, urgent care or clinic, medical group, or physician’s office.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Requirements

• DBHC staff only: Valid CA driver’s license and automotive insurance.

• Push/pull up to 25 lbs of force.
• Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching.
• Manual dexterity and mobility.

• Sufficient perceptive acuity (vision and hearing) to perform all the related duties of the position.

Pay

$25.00 hourly. Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
