Patient Access Registrar

Job Responsibility

• Arranges for the efficient and orderly registration of patients.
• Ensures accurate patient information is collected.
• Makes patients aware of hospital policies and procedures.
• Works with and has access to confidential patient information.
• Requires frequent decision-making or action following general procedures often without clearly defined precedents.
• Requires a high degree of mental alertness and close visual attention to details.
• Requires diplomacy and a professional image and manner in dealing with patients, families, visitors, medical staff, and personnel.
• Responsible for a positive first impression as the initial point of service contact for customers.

Job Education, Licenses/Certifications, Knowledge & Experience

• A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to read, write, and follow directions.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
