Patient Access / Patient Registration Specialist - Remote

About the role

As a Patient Access / Patient Registration Specialist at Option Care Health, you will support patients referred for Specialty and Acute Infusion Services by coordinating referrals, intake documentation, and cross-functional communication. This role ensures a seamless transition into care by partnering closely with referral sources, sales, pharmacy, nursing, and internal teams to deliver a high-quality experience for patients and referral partners.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients, referral sources, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharges and secure nursing and delivery services.
• Create, communicate, and obtain all required documentation for new referrals.
• Secure patient upfront payments, including assisting patients in finding payment avenues and directing them to financial assistance programs.
• Support ongoing activities to ensure clean claims, manage holds, and resolve denials by following up on missing paperwork.
• Assist the Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a related field.

• Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of quality focus.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across sales and operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous healthcare or medical billing experience.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Pay

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
