What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Aid patients with insurance verification
- Capture and verify demographics and benefits eligibility
- Schedule clinical services accurately, confirming patient details and available times
- Maintain a professional relationship with patients, providing support with financial responsibilities
- Input patient and insurance data accurately into appropriate systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelines
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet registration goals and minimize errors in scheduling and billing
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- A High School Diploma or GED
- An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Financial, or Healthcare fields preferred
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in patient access, financial services, or healthcare-related roles
- Proficiency in medical terminology and insurance protocols
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- 2-3 years of experience in patient access or healthcare-related roles
- Knowledge of hospital billing requirements and documentation processes
- Familiarity with Protected Health Information (PHI) and HIPAA
- Bilingual skills are a plus
