What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Aid patients with insurance verification and documentation, ensuring accurate capture of demographics and benefits eligibility
- Schedule clinical services while confirming patient details and available times
- Provide exceptional customer service, guiding patients through financial responsibilities and pre-registration requirements
- Enter patient and insurance data accurately into relevant systems, including procedure codes and authorizations
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies regarding patient information
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of experience in patient access, financial services, or healthcare-related roles
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of insurance protocols
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- 2-3 years of experience in patient access or healthcare roles
- Knowledge of hospital billing requirements and documentation processes
- Familiarity with Protected Health Information (PHI) and HIPAA regulations
- Bilingual skills are a plus
