Responsibilities
- Financial counseling and collecting co-pays and deductibles or providing financial assistance education to patients and their families.
- Stat registering, scheduling appointments, and completing registration by collecting and entering all pertinent financial and demographic information into the ADT system.
- Verifying insurance benefit information, generating the ABN, reviewing orders for compliance, completing MSP, obtaining financial and treatment consents, placing ordered medical procedures, and obtaining pre-certification when applicable.
- Maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate Customer Focus with Patience, Composure, and Compassion.
- Show strong Time Management skills, Interpersonal Savvy, and support Peer Relationships.
- Comprehend the hospital's financial policies and apply them to the patient to secure payment for the patient's hospital liability.
- Efficiently perform all duties while ensuring patient confidentiality and privacy rights.
Requirements
- Must be within a 50 mile radius and willing to come into office for meetings.
- Full time position with 80 hours per week.
Qualifications
- High School completion or GED.
- Associates Degree preferred in healthcare or related business field.
Skills
- Proficient in Windows-based computer technology, including keyboarding and typing at least 25 wpm.
- Medical Terminology certification preferred.
