Responsibilities

  • Financial counseling and collecting co-pays and deductibles or providing financial assistance education to patients and their families.
  • Stat registering, scheduling appointments, and completing registration by collecting and entering all pertinent financial and demographic information into the ADT system.
  • Verifying insurance benefit information, generating the ABN, reviewing orders for compliance, completing MSP, obtaining financial and treatment consents, placing ordered medical procedures, and obtaining pre-certification when applicable.
  • Maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate Customer Focus with Patience, Composure, and Compassion.
  • Show strong Time Management skills, Interpersonal Savvy, and support Peer Relationships.
  • Comprehend the hospital's financial policies and apply them to the patient to secure payment for the patient's hospital liability.
  • Efficiently perform all duties while ensuring patient confidentiality and privacy rights.

Requirements

  • Must be within a 50 mile radius and willing to come into office for meetings.
  • Full time position with 80 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • High School completion or GED.
  • Associates Degree preferred in healthcare or related business field.

Skills

  • Proficient in Windows-based computer technology, including keyboarding and typing at least 25 wpm.
  • Medical Terminology certification preferred.
