Patient Access Liaison II - Emergency/Labor and Delivery

About the role

Interview patients in a fast-paced clinical environment to gather necessary account information, facilitate registration, verify insurance, and provide financial guidance.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with patients and families
• Explain registration documents
• Perform insurance eligibility checks
• Generate patient estimates
• Collect co-payments
• Refer uninsured patients for financial assistance

Requirements

• High school diploma (healthcare or related coursework preferred)
• At least one year of customer service or office support experience

Skills

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency with keyboard and Microsoft Office
• Problem-solving and teamwork

Physical demands

• Sit or stand for extended periods
• Assist with bedside registration
• Physical mobility to push wheelchairs and navigate within the facility

Schedule

• Every other weekend and holiday
• Flexibility for overtime

Pay

$18.31 to $21.97 per hour
