Parts Warehouse Coordinator II (AMS)
About the role
This position is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely movement of goods to and from the warehouse(s) while providing a superior level of customer service and maintaining the integrity of electronic inventory records. The role involves inventory management, supplier management, purchasing, stocking, tracking job orders/deliveries, forecasting parts demand, and general warehouse stocking, transferring, and dispersal of various items related to Enerflex Field Operations under moderate supervision.
Responsibilities
- Provides accurate and timely invoicing/billing to customers.
- Enters all required materials and services on all order types.
- Maintains inventory accuracy by issuing inventory to all order types in a timely manner.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined part-number sequence. Marks materials with identifying information.
- Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items accordingly.
- Uses computer and current inventory program (SAP) to enter records.
- Prepares product for domestic and international shipping using proper packing techniques to ensure safe arrival of goods and products. Determines the best method of shipping and filing freight claims.
- Takes an active part in cycle counting and inventory processes for the Branch Office.
- Sources, quotes, purchases, and bills merchandise for projects as directed by the Branch Manager or Account Manager.
- Manages variance reports and uses root cause analysis to resolve and eliminate variances between stated on-hand and physical counts.
- Reviews all shipping and receiving transactions, bills of materials, routing and picking transactions, and errors in SAP.
- Resolves moderate to advanced problems and initiates identification and resolution by recommending policy and procedure changes to Parts or Branch Manager.
- Works closely with sales, purchasing, shipping, receiving, and others to oversee physical counts and reconcile variances.
- Works to meet branch/individual objectives and goals set by/with the Manager.
- Assists peers with moderately complex problems and issues.
- Manages relationships with internal/external customers and other employees in a professional manner.
- Drives company vehicles, lifts, and forklifts to transport stored items from the warehouse to the shop or customers, as well as pick up items from vendors as required.
- Sources and purchases required parts/services at competitive pricing and terms (TCO) while following Enerflex required policies/procedures.
- Maintains process ownership from sourcing/procurement to delivery/inventory management with a focus on internal customer commitment and expectations.
- Communicates and coordinates with the Supervisor, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure compliance with expectations.
- Assists with new supplier selection, reviews of new products, prices, and terms to stay competitive.
- Assists in the development, tracking, and reporting of key suppliers and departmental performance metrics.
- Properly uses/operates lift trucks and general equipment used in a warehouse.
- Complies with all Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE, and all Company policies, procedures, processes, work instructions, and guidelines.
- Manually lifts and loads materials on and off trucks safely.
- Recognizes and complies with Health, Safety, and Environmental rules and policies.
Requirements
- High School diploma.
- Minimum of 5+ years' related work experience.
- Prior experience in the oil and gas industry, including experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Knowledge of Caterpillar engines and Ariel compressors, as well as Waukesha and related spare parts, is preferred.
- Must have a great understanding of the invoicing/billing process (if applicable).
- Must be capable of lifting (up to 50 lbs.), push/pull (up to 70 lbs.), and operating light equipment within a warehouse environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification and properly use/operate lift trucks and general equipment used in a warehouse.
- Capable of effective communication with personnel at various levels.
- Possess math aptitude necessary to do inventory calculations.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks and dealing effectively with interruptions.
- Good customer service skills; displays a professional can-do attitude.
- Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to perform fine motor skills; possess good hand/eye coordination; handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand and/or sit for long periods of time; infrequently/frequently get in/out of truck cab; up/down from truck bed; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will also be required to work outside in extreme heat and/or cold; the ability to use hands and arms to regularly/frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds; and infrequently/occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
