Responsibilities

  • Supervise the engine drop and greening procedures, including the extraction of fluids and preparation of vehicles for engine removal.
  • Direct the process of removing batteries, cutting Freon lines, and detaching catalytic converters from vehicles.
  • Manage the removal of various small parts from the vehicle, such as headlights, taillights, doors, fenders, and hoods.
  • Verify that no hazardous materials remain in vehicles through quality control checks.
  • Perform pre-checks of the production line at the start of the day using a maintenance report to ensure everything is in proper working order.
  • Assign personnel to stations and oversee their tasks to ensure they stay within their designated areas.
  • Monitor personnel attendance and adjust manpower needs for each station on the line accordingly.
  • Coordinate with the safety team to hold meetings and enforce regulations and PPE requirements.
  • Conduct line checks at the end of the shift to ensure that all parts of the line are shut off.
  • Communicate production expectations to personnel.
  • Report team performance to production manager.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED-equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of automotive experience required.
  • Production and supervising experience preferred.

Skills

  • Ability to lead a production team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of all makes and models of cars.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management.
  • Demonstrate ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Other Job Demands

  • Work is generally performed indoors and outdoors in all-weather elements such as hot, cold, rain, or snow, and personal protective equipment is required.
  • Working hours may vary and evening or weekend work may be required.
  • You may be required to lift and carry light weights.
  • Regular attendance is essential to perform the duties of this position.
