About the role
The Parts Manager oversees the daily operations of the parts and accessories department, ensuring efficient and accurate management of inventory. Key responsibilities include maintaining an organized inventory, processing and fulfilling parts orders, building customer and manufacturer relationships, providing excellent customer service, supervising staff, maintaining records, and supporting event planning.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an organized and accurate inventory of parts and accessories.
- Process and fulfill parts orders from customers, technicians, and sales team.
- Build and maintain positive customer and manufacturer relationships to strengthen loyalty, reduce order times, and enhance dealer reputation.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, locating parts, and ensuring high customer satisfaction with all orders and services.
- Supervise and train department staff as needed. Ensure all team members understand all processes and procedures related to inventory and ordering.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, returns, and other relevant data.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Support the General Manager in executing successful boat shows, store, and off-site sales/customer events, including off-site accessory sales as appropriate.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Previous experience in parts or inventory management preferred.
- Strong knowledge of marine parts and accessories.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certifications in parts management is a plus.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & inventory management software.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
