Parts Foreman

About the role

The Parts Foreman is the beating heart of operations, responsible for the shop’s catalogue of machine parts. This position is ideal for those with a background in vehicle repair or those looking to enter the industry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adequate inventory to allow your shop to perform necessary repairs to our fleet.
• Effectively communicate with internal supply chain, vendors and freight carriers.
• Maintain purchase orders, pay bills and reconcile issues.
• Audit inventory levels, reduce obsolete inventory and return unused parts.
• Willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Computer-savvy.
• Forklift certified.
• Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

While not specified, candidates should have a strong background in vehicle repair or a willingness to learn quickly. Experience with U-Haul’s proprietary technology is preferred but not required.
