Parts Counterperson

About the role

Tom Wood Honda in Whitestown is seeking a Parts Sales Associate to join their team. This position is currently based at the Anderson, IN location, with the possibility of transitioning to the new dealership facility in Whitestown, Indiana, expected to open early 2027.

Key Skills & Competencies

- **Customer Engagement & Communication:** Greet customers promptly and courteously at the parts counter or over the phone. Resolve customer needs and concerns with professionalism and efficiency. Provide knowledgeable advice on parts compatibility, availability, and pricing. - **Product Knowledge & Inventory Management:** Assist customers in identifying the correct parts and accessories. Maintain and organize parts inventory with accurate counts and proper storage. Stay current with products, parts, and industry trends. - **Collaboration & Support:** Work closely with the service department to ensure timely availability of parts for service jobs. Support dealership events and promotions through parts-related activities. - **Adaptability & Physical Capability:** Handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Lift and move parts and accessories as needed (up to 50 lbs).

Preferred Qualifications

- Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Previous experience in a parts role is a plus, but training is provided. - Knowledge of vehicles and parts is desirable. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Valid license with motorcycle endorsement and clean driving record.
