About the role
Lamborghini of Paramus is seeking a dedicated Parts Counterperson to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience with auto parts sales (preferred), parts internet sales experience, and a genuine commitment to the job. They should also be able to work in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively, and have strong organizational and time management skills.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
- Think outside the box and communicate with customers on parts status
- Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts
- Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
- Review body shop estimates to ensure correct parts and pricing alignment
- Provide high-level service to internal and external customers
- Pull and fill orders from stock
- Maintain weekly bin checks for accuracy of stock
- Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or urgent needs
- Locate and submit emergency orders for out-of-stock parts
- Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders
- Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization
- Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up
Qualifications
- Experience with auto parts sales (preferred)
- Social media savvy and ability to post to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
- Parts internet sales experience (posting to eBay, Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, Amazon)
- A genuine commitment to the job, energetic, and able to take initiative
- High school diploma or equivalent
