Duties
- Greet customers warmly and determine their automotive parts needs through active listening and effective communication
- Identify, locate, and recommend the correct parts using automotive diagnostics tools and inventory management systems
- Process sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while handling cash and credit payments with professionalism
- Maintain organized stock levels by stocking shelves, conducting inventory control, and managing order fulfillment to prevent shortages or overstocking
- Aid in vehicle maintenance advice and automotive repair guidance based on customer inquiries
- Use negotiation skills to upsell products and promote additional services or accessories that meet customer needs
- Keep detailed records of sales, inventory movements, and customer interactions within management software
Skills
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and automotive service procedures
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customers
- Proven experience in retail sales, inventory management, and stock control within an automotive or dealership environment
- Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Excel, retail math, and basic cash handling procedures
- Effective negotiation skills to enhance sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Familiarity with dealership operations, marketing strategies, and automotive repair processes
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of CMMS platforms for maintenance tracking and inventory control is a plus
- Outstanding phone etiquette for engaging with customers over the phone or in person
