About the role
The Parts & Service Technician (PST) is responsible for generating a profitable Parts and Service department while maintaining a clean and safe facility. This role involves assisting with all aspects of inventory, installations, servicing trailers, and preparing products for presentation and demonstration.
Responsibilities
- Completing daily processes including parts sales, service work, inventory control, receiving product, and customer deliveries.
- Aiding the management team with service, parts/accessories installations, and warranty work.
- Receiving delivery of trailers, parts, supplies, and submitting paperwork for management approval.
- Conducting Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) and Post-Labor Inspections (PLIs).
- Using a consultative selling process to help customers match their needs with appropriate parts and services.
- Maintaining store facilities and trailers to ensure safety, security, and a professional appearance.
- Performing preventative and daily maintenance, minor repairs, and inspections of company equipment and vehicles.
- Verifying proper invoicing during PDIs and PLIs.
- Strategically collaborating with the management staff and other departments.
- Attending and participating in required team and company meetings.
- Investigating and resolving warranty, repair, facility, and equipment issues.
- Assisting with trailer sales as needed.
- Obtaining and maintaining a valid sales license where required by state law.
- Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures related to managing facility keys.
- Generating leads in the local market.
- Operating forklifts and power tools as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
- Excellent time management, customer service, troubleshooting, attention to details, and strong mechanical abilities.
- Professional, safe, and ethical conduct.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and power tools.
