About the role
The Parts & Service Technician (PST) is responsible for generating a profitable Parts and Service department, maintaining a clean and safe facility, and assisting with various tasks including parts sales, service work, inventory control, and trailer installations.
Responsibilities
- Completing daily processes that include parts sales, service work, inventory control, receiving product, and customer deliveries.
- Aid the management team with service, parts/accessories installations, and warranty work.
- Receive delivery of trailers, parts, supplies, and submit paperwork for management approval.
- Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) and Post-Labor Inspections (PLIs).
- Use a consultative selling process to help customers with appropriate parts and services.
- Maintain store facilities and trailers to ensure safety, security, and professionalism.
- Perform preventative and daily maintenance, minor repairs, and inspections of company equipment and vehicles.
- Verify proper invoicing during PDIs and PLIs.
- Work collaboratively with management and other departments.
- Attend and participate in required meetings.
- Investigate and resolve warranty, repair, facility, and equipment issues.
- Assist in trailer sales as needed.
- Obtain and maintain a valid sales license where required by state law.
- Ensure proper execution and enforcement of policies and procedures related to facility keys.
- Generate leads in the local market.
- Operate forklift and power tools as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
- Excellent time management, customer service, troubleshooting, attention to details, and strong mechanical abilities.
- Professional, safe, and ethical conduct.
- Ability to operate forklifts and power tools as required.
