Partnership Tax Senior Manager, Advanced Computational Services
About the role
The Tax Senior Manager, Partnerships at BDO is responsible for advising clients on partnership taxation, developing strategies to maximize client benefits, and leading marketing and business development efforts. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics, with a Master’s in Accountancy or Taxation preferred. Eight or more years of relevant tax experience and supervisory experience are required, along with specialized partnership experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintains and develops an in-depth understanding of partnership taxation issues
- Applies tax knowledge and business/industry knowledge to recommend solutions
- Develops and implements tax strategies, including experimenting with new strategies
- Manages client expectations and expectations of team members
- Trains and mentors associates, senior associates, and managers on research and tax consulting
- Works collaboratively with firm specialists to conduct external CPE training sessions
- Manages workload and schedules tasks for associates, senior associates, and managers
- Provides performance feedback to team members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics, or a related field
- Master’s in Accountancy or Taxation preferred
- Eight or more years of relevant tax experience
- Specialized partnership experience required
- Prior supervisory experience required
- Private equity experience, both fund and portfolio company levels, preferred
- CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent certification (or the equivalent of one of these designations) preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and tax research databases
