About Lakewood Regional Support

Our regional support center provides resources to our hotels in areas including Human Resources, Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Security, Group Reservations, Guest Contact Center, Information Technology, Laundry, and Communications. This internship offers a two-semester hospitality program with direct or management training placement opportunities, allowing you to explore and develop meaningful career skills.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and perform the job duties of the position(s) within your assigned department
  • Learn the various systems used in the hotel
  • Assist in analyzing and ensuring practice of guest service standards at hotels
  • Complete projects, as assigned, in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Promote and apply teamwork skills at all times
  • Be polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management, and fellow team members
  • Execute emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
  • Comply with required safety regulations and procedures
  • Attend appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
  • Maintain cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
  • Comply with hotel standards, policies, and rules
  • Remain current with hotel information and changes
  • Comply with hotel uniform and grooming standards

Qualifications

Pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s Degree in Hospitality Management from Rosen College of Hospitality Management.
