About the role
The Network Partnerships team at Stripe is seeking a US or Canada-based candidate to lead one of its critical network partnerships. This role involves managing the execution of joint initiatives and launching new offerings to benefit Stripe users. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing one of Stripe's most critical U.S. Network partnerships
- Leveraging industry knowledge to craft long-term partnership and product strategies
- Driving deal negotiation and execution
- Coordinating priorities with internal teams and external partners
- Juggling and reconciling competing priorities to drive creative solutions and commitment to a shared goal
- Coordinating and prioritizing a large number of activities and initiatives to drive best outcomes for our users and Stripe
Responsibilities
Manage one of Stripe's most critical U.S. Network partnerships, with a focus on driving the execution of joint initiatives and launching new offerings to benefit Stripe users.
- Leverage industry knowledge to craft thoughtful long-term partnership and product strategies, and execute deals and initiatives that support Stripe's strategy
- Use data to drive strategy and decisions
- Cook up and manage strategic plans, key negotiation and expansion opportunities, and overall partner health with a multi-year vision in mind
- Juggle and reconcile competing priorities to drive creative solutions and commitment to a shared goal across multiple stakeholders
- Coordinate and prioritize a large number of activities and initiatives that compete for scarce resources to drive best outcomes for our users and Stripe
Requirements
- 12+ years in partnerships, business development, or similar fields
- 3+ years deep in the payments world—you need to understand how card networks operate
- Experience negotiating significant commercial deals
- Comfortable in a product-focused environment with lots of dependencies
- Great communication skills, especially being able to influence C-level colleagues
- Experience running large, complex, cross-functional projects
