About the role

Join LearnWell, an organization committed to changing the lives of the 10 million students in the U.S. who are dealing with behavioral health issues. For over 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. This position involves working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility in Aurora, IL, providing academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans tailored to student needs.
• Provide individualized assistance to students in a small classroom setting (8–15 students).
• Regularly communicate about student progress with relevant parties.
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success.
• Maintain accurate attendance and session reports.

Requirements

• B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• Illinois state teaching license.
• Comfortable working with adolescent students.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
• Reliable transportation.

Schedule

20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM.

Pay

Compensation ranges: LBS1 $32–$35/hr, Gen Ed $26–$28/hr.
