About the role
We are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Yakima, WA on a part-time basis for the school year.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver daily lesson plans
- Provide individualized assistance to students
- Regularly communicate about student progress as needed
- Maintain accurate attendance and session reports
- Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success
- Work in a residential eating disorder facility with adolescent school-age patients
- Teach in a small classroom setting with most class sizes ranging from 8 to 15 patients
- Commit 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-1pm
Requirements
- B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution
- Active Washington teaching license
- Comfortable working with 7th -12th grade students
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
- Reliable transportation
