About the Role

A Radiologic Technologist responsible for operating radiographic and CT equipment to produce diagnostically accurate images as directed by physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiology procedures accurately, efficiently, and according to established standards and protocols.
  • Initiate appropriate interventions for exams requiring immediate attention.
  • Review exam indications and report any inappropriate requests.
  • Provide complete and accurate exam data for radiologist interpretation.
  • Utilize computer systems such as PACS, RIS, HIS, and EMR; perform clerical duties.
  • Archive images, send images to radiologists, and retrieve stored images as needed.
  • Understand medical and legal responsibilities related to imaging reports and images.
  • Maintain department policies, safety standards, infection control, and quality assurance.
  • Assist and mentor staff and students during clinical rotations and training.
  • Contribute to record-keeping and compliance with accreditation and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or certificate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT certification or within 60 days of employment.
  • Visual acuity and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts.
  • Commitment to patient care, confidentiality, teamwork, and safety standards.
