About the role
Radiologic Technologist responsible for operating radiographic and CT equipment to produce diagnostic images for physicians.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiology procedures accurately and efficiently according to standards and protocols.
- Review exam indications, report inappropriate requests, and communicate urgent findings to radiologists or practitioners.
- Provide complete and accurate exam data for interpretation.
- Utilize computer systems such as PACS, RIS, HIS, and EMR; manage image storage and retrieval; create CDs as needed.
- Maintain compliance with department policies, safety, infection control, and legal standards.
- Assist and mentor staff, students, and provide clinical training.
- Contribute to record keeping and quality improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
- ARRT certification required within 60 days of employment.
- Strong communication skills, visual acuity, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, legal responsibilities, and computer systems used in radiology.
