Part-Time Sonographer

Role Overview

The Associate Sonographer operates ultrasound imaging equipment to support patient diagnosis and treatment, ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, and effective communication with healthcare teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Sonography program with completed clinical hours or a registered sonographer
• Certification from ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI required or must achieve registry within 6 months
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of hire
• State licensure may be required depending on location

Key Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of imaging protocols, machine operation, emergency procedures, and radiation safety
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapt to changing priorities

Physical Requirements

• Capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs
• Prolonged standing and walking
• Ability to perform physical movements such as reaching, bending, kneeling, and twisting
