About the role
Provides care and support to residents in addiction treatment and restorative justice programs, serving individuals with substance use and criminogenic risks.
Responsibilities
- Monitor residents and document behaviors
- Assist with housekeeping and medication administration
- Respond to crises and support residents in achieving treatment goals
- Facilitate educational group activities and teach life skills such as meal prep and transportation
- Perform basic first aid and collect specimens
- Maintain confidentiality when sharing updates with partners
- Attend training, problem-solve independently, and perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Coursework toward a bachelor’s in social work, human services, or related fields preferred
- Experience in similar settings preferred
Skills
- Strong reading, writing, math, problem-solving, and teamwork
- Effective communication and basic computer skills
- Physical ability for mobility and outdoor exposure
- Valid driver’s license and DHS 83 training preferred; must pass a motor vehicle check
- Ability to travel for resident transportation
