Part-Time Residential Care Worker - Overnight

About the role

Provides care and support to residents in addiction treatment and restorative justice programs, serving individuals with substance use and criminogenic risks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents and document behaviors
• Assist with housekeeping and medication administration
• Respond to crises and support residents in achieving treatment goals
• Facilitate educational group activities and teach life skills such as meal prep and transportation
• Perform basic first aid and collect specimens
• Maintain confidentiality when sharing updates with partners
• Attend training, problem-solve independently, and perform additional duties as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Coursework toward a bachelor’s in social work, human services, or related fields preferred
• Experience in similar settings preferred

Skills

• Strong reading, writing, math, problem-solving, and teamwork
• Effective communication and basic computer skills
• Physical ability for mobility and outdoor exposure
• Valid driver’s license and DHS 83 training preferred; must pass a motor vehicle check
• Ability to travel for resident transportation
