About the role
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners provide telemedicine mental health care to diverse clients, primarily adults and adolescents, with a focus on conditions such as depression, anxiety, and ADHD. They conduct assessments, prescribe medications, develop care plans, and collaborate with clients and staff, adhering to clinical guidelines. Clinicians must treat clients aged 14 and older and follow best practices for telehealth care.
Responsibilities
- Perform psychiatric evaluations
- Prescribe medications as needed
- Create and manage treatment plans
- Complete assessments and paperwork
- Consult with clinical directors
- Conduct telemedicine psychiatric assessments and evaluations
- Prescribe medication to manage mental health symptoms
- Develop and collaborate on personalized care plans
- Complete necessary documentation and assessments
- Adhere to clinical practice standards and guidelines
- Consult with regional clinic staff on patient care and services
Qualifications
- Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with board certification
- Active prescriptive authority
- Master's in Nursing
- At least one year of psychiatry experience (three years overall experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with EMR systems is beneficial
- Must reside and be licensed in the practicing state
