Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) Rehab Nurse

Role Overview

This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to residents by assessing their health, developing and updating individualized care plans, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams. The nurse ensures accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and care plans, while delivering safe and timely treatments such as medication administration and IV therapy.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate significant changes in residents' conditions, utilize critical thinking in crisis situations, and notify physicians promptly
• Monitor care delivery effectiveness, address problem areas through quality improvement processes, and assist with resident activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Maintain current knowledge of nursing practices and complete ongoing education requirements

Qualifications & Skills

• Registered nurse license from an accredited school and current state licensure
• CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain within six months
• Critical thinking, strong communication, and organizational skills
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and transfer residents, including those over 200 lbs
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity for documentation and patient care
• Long-term care experience preferred
