Part Time Physician Relations Manager

Direct Sales drives sales and services to new and/or existing customers through face-to-face or telephone contact to meet individual and organizational sales objectives. The Physician Relations Manager cultivates and maintains ongoing customer relationships with an assigned set of customers, providing exceptional service and identifying upselling opportunities to maintain and increase income streams.

This role requires residency within a one-hour radius of Garland, TX. Relocation is not offered at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze physician referral patterns to develop customer-level strategic plans and identify opportunities using market intelligence to increase volume with existing referrers and develop new referral channels.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams to drive sales and achieve revenue targets.
  • Develop deep product, service, and competitor knowledge, as well as an understanding of local and regional market trends.
  • Represent, develop, and maintain strong relationships with physicians and other healthcare professionals to drive referrals.
  • Meet and exceed sales quotas by educating prospects on service benefits, utilizing effective sales strategies and tactics.
  • Assess strategic partnership opportunities while adapting strategies and tactics for optimal win/win outcomes.
  • Uncover, monitor, and analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs, including conducting real-world market research.
  • Build a robust customer base by leveraging tools and resources to facilitate customer and clinician engagement.
  • Assist the marketing team with social media content (e.g., Facebook).
  • Develop and execute outreach programs to engage and support customer relationships and brand awareness.
  • Partner and collaborate with JV partners, KOLs, and customers.
  • Understand disease indication trends and implement targeted outreach initiatives such as disease-specific campaigns, lunch and learns, dinner programs, CMEs, health fairs, tumor boards, grand rounds, and other events promoting brand awareness and education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (preferred).
  • 4-8 years of experience (preferred).
  • 3+ years of successful healthcare sales, physician engagement, or relations, preferably in oncology, imaging, or urology.
  • Previous experience prospecting, managing territory/routing, analyzing performance, and communicating value to customers.
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated success in meeting sales targets, customer growth, and retention, exhibiting a “hunter” mentality.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface at all levels and sell services through written and verbal communication to various practice stakeholders (e.g., physicians and administrative staff).
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare market, including physician relationships, with a strategic and creative mindset for problem-solving.
  • Coachable with the ability to organize resources, including people, tools, and time, to meet deadlines and achieve results.
  • Exceptional knowledge of the healthcare industry and competitive landscape, with the ability to learn, analyze, understand, and convey complex information.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

Location and Travel

  • Must be located within a one-hour radius of Garland, TX.
  • 80% travel within the Garland, TX area.
  • Primarily works from a home office when not visiting clients.
  • Commitment of 24 hours weekly; days of the week are flexible.

Pay

Anticipated pay range: $49,260–$70,320. Bonus eligible.
