About the role

Cub Monticello is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to join their dedicated team. The role involves processing prescriptions, record keeping, and stock support to the Pharmacy. Responsibilities also include maintaining shelf stock for maximum product availability and sales.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the pharmacist in filling prescriptions
  • Processes customers’ orders ensuring price accuracy and product knowledge
  • Maintains positive customer relations
  • Hazardous drug handling
  • Performs department receiving and stocking
  • Aids in ordering
  • Pulls bottles of drugs for Pharmacists to fill prescriptions
  • Organizes and cleans
  • Maintains Board of Pharmacy regulations

Requirements

  • Two-way verbal and written communication (speech, hearing, and writing)
  • Operation and use of various office equipment (personal computer, telephone, fax)
  • Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and evenings
  • Independent work with minimal supervision
  • Writing and seeing things in close proximity (reading distance)
  • Comprehension of written and verbal communication
  • Reading and viewing computer screens for extended periods
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Age 18 or older
  • Good judgment required

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Walking on uneven ground
  • Reaching, bending, repetitive motions

Schedule

  • Variably scheduled weekly shifts
  • Preferred open availability
  • Required weekends
