Job Overview
Cub Maplewood East is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician.
About the Role
The Pharmacy Technician team at Cub processes prescriptions, maintains stock, and supports the Pharmacy. Responsibilities include assisting pharmacists, ensuring accurate order processing, maintaining customer relations, handling hazardous drugs, performing receiving and stocking tasks, and pulling bottles for pharmacists to fill prescriptions.
Responsibilities
- Assists the pharmacist in filling prescriptions
- Processes customers' orders ensuring price accuracy and product knowledge
- Maintains positive customer relations
- Hazardous drug handling
- Performs department receiving and stocking
- Aids in ordering
- Pulls bottles of drugs for Pharmacists to fill prescriptions
- Organizes and cleans
- Maintains Board of Pharmacy regulations
Requirements
- Communicate through two-way verbal and written communication (speech, hearing, and writing)
- Operate and use various office equipment (personal computer, telephone, fax)
- Work extended hours, including weekends and evenings
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Write and see things in close proximity (reading distance)
- Comprehend written and verbal communication
- Read/view computer screens for extensive periods of time
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age and older
- Good judgment required
Physical Requirements
- Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Walking on uneven ground
- Reaching, bending, repetitive motions
