Part Time Pharmacy Technician

About the role

Cub Willmar is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to join their dedicated team. The role involves processing prescriptions, record keeping, and stock support to the Pharmacy. Key responsibilities include assisting pharmacists in filling prescriptions, ensuring accurate order processing, maintaining product availability, and adhering to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in filling prescriptions
• Responsible for accurately processing customers' orders through ensuring price accuracy and product knowledge
• Ensures positive customer relations
• Hazardous drug handling
• Performs department receiving and stocking
• Affords assistance in ordering
• Pulls bottles of drugs for Pharmacists to fill prescriptions
• Organizes and cleans
• Maintains Board of Pharmacy regulations

Requirements

• Ability to communicate through two-way verbal and written communication (speech, hearing, and writing)
• Ability to operate and use as needed various office equipment (personal computer, telephone, fax)
• Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and evenings
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to write and see things in close proximity (reading distance)
• Ability to comprehend written and verbal communication
• Ability to read/ view computer screens for extensive periods of time
• Requires High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years of age and older
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available

Physical Requirements

• Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, repetitive motions

Compensation

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
