Part-Time Paramedic

About the role

This position is for a Paramedic responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care in emergency settings. The role involves assessing call situations, utilizing advanced medical equipment, and providing both basic and advanced medical interventions. Paramedics act as team leaders, manage scenes, and operate ambulances during emergency responses. They communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare and safety personnel, ensuring coordinated care.

Responsibilities

• Assess emergency situations and determine appropriate actions based on protocols.
• Use medical equipment such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and IV fluids for patient care.
• Provide clear communication to patients and their loved ones.
• Lead scene management and coordinate with team members.
• Drive emergency vehicles during responses.
• Collaborate professionally with healthcare and public safety teams.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid State Driver’s License.
• State Paramedic License and certifications in BLS, ACLS, PHTLS/ITLS, and PALS.
• Pass Physical Ability Test (PAT).
• Healthcare experience preferred.
