Responsibilities

• Assessing emergency situations
• Utilizing advanced medical equipment such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and IV therapy to provide critical care
• Effective communication with patients and their families to offer reassurance and information
• Acting as team leaders, managing scenes and units as needed
• Driving ambulances during emergency responses
• Collaborating professionally with healthcare and public safety personnel
• Participating in community outreach to enhance community relations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid state Paramedic and Driver’s Licenses
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certifications
• Compliant driving record
• Pass a physical agility test
• Some healthcare experience; related experience preferred
