About the Role
A Flight Paramedic transports patients via helicopter, ensuring safe and efficient care from initial contact to hospital handoff. Collaborating with a professional team, they prioritize safety, maintain high standards, and provide advanced life support during pre-hospital and intra-hospital care.
Responsibilities
- Complete patient care records promptly
- Conduct daily safety and equipment checks
- Provide advanced life support from initial contact to hospital handoff
- Participate in pre-mission briefings and aircraft safety procedures
- Assist with lift-off operations and maintain operational documentation
- Maintain a positive, safety-conscious environment among team members
- Maintain documentation of licensure, certifications, and ongoing education
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in 911 or critical care settings
- Current EMT-P license/certification in assigned states
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and trauma
- Advanced certification (FP-C) preferred (must be obtained within 24 months)
- Instructor certifications in relevant courses preferred
- Knowledge of emergency equipment and safety standards
- Flexibility to fill shifts
- Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with EMS, hospitals, and colleagues
