Part-Time Paramedic

Responsibilities

• Assess call situations and determine appropriate actions following paramedic protocols.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and IVs to deliver quality patient care.
• Communicate compassionately with patients and their loved ones, providing reassurance and information.
• Lead scene management and coordinate with team members and public safety personnel as needed.
• Develop triage skills to optimize response efficiency during emergencies.
• Follow clinical protocols and safety standards in patient care.
• Lift and move patients to ensure proper treatment.
• Communicate with receiving facilities for medical direction and critical information exchange.
• Drive ambulances, support navigation, and coordinate with dispatch to ensure rapid response.
• Participate in community outreach programs to strengthen community relations.
• Maintain regular contact with healthcare facilities and report interactions to management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED; advanced education preferred.
• Current Montana Paramedic Certification or application pending.
• National Registry certification.
• Valid State Driver’s License and a safe driving record.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS certifications.
• Ability to pass drug, background, and physical agility screenings.
